Cloud vs. On-Premises VMS — the Honest Tradeoffs
Cloud is the right default for the large majority of offices, but it is worth being straight about the tradeoffs. A cloud-based visitor management system needs an internet connection — if the site's network is down, the iPad cannot reach the cloud to write a new sign-in, though a modern office network being fully offline is rare and usually brief.
