Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How does pricing work?
You pay the plan rate for each location you run. The plan sets how many locations one account can manage: 1 on Free and Core, up to 3 on Pro, up to 5 on Max, and unlimited on Enterprise. A Pro account running 3 locations is billed 3 × the Pro rate, on one invoice and from one login.
How do you define a location?
Typically, each separate physical building is a different location. Ask whether you would want a visitor to check in at one kiosk and walk over to another to pick up a badge. If not, the two kiosks should belong to two different locations. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Which plans include text messages?
Host arrival texts start on Pro. Pro and Max include 500 texts a month and Enterprise includes 1,000, shared across your whole account. Free and Core notify hosts by email.
What happens if I reach a monthly limit?
Visitors can always check in. On Free, once you pass 50 check-ins in a month, arrival notifications pause until the next month. Once a paid plan has used its monthly texts, further texts stop until the next month and email alerts carry on.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Core, Pro and Max each come with a 14-day free trial, and the Free plan has no time limit.
Is the hardware included in the cost?
No, the pricing here only covers the software. You can buy the hardware yourself or buy it from us (only for US customers). Either way, we will recommend the hardware that works best with InstaCheckin.
How do I cancel or downgrade, and do you issue refunds?
Sorry, we do not process and issue refunds. If you wish to cancel or downgrade your subscription, just contact support. Your subscription will be canceled or downgraded at the end of your current billing period.
